This unit, made basically from 316 grade stainless steel is designed for medium (30hp) to large (150hp) motors. The lock works by sliding over the transom clamps which hold the motor to the boat. The clamps always have flattened heads. You slide the securing tube over both clamps and then insert the locking bolt through the tube. This prevents a would-be-thief from getting to the transom clamps - Clever!
The lock is tubular style with a protective rubber cover. Two keys are included.
